This spring I will participate in the Santa Clara Valley Audubon Society’s Bird-a-thon.
The team I am on is the DeDUCKtions, which takes place each year on or around Tax Day. We will bird as a team all around Santa Clara Valley, beginning before dawn (owling) and continuing till dusk. We hope to observe many species that reside or migrate through Santa Clara County.
The Birdathon is SCVAS’s biggest fundraiser, and the funds support the work of SCVAS, especially their many education programs which include a focus on elementary grade students, all the way through docent training, speaker series, and Bird Walks.
SCVAS is active in advocacy and conservation to protect birds and wildlife. Please support me in my fundraising goal to reach $300!
