I'm pledging to donate $10 for each bird found by the team anywhere in Santa Clara County all day. I'd expect we'll reach 100 birds pretty easily so the challenge will be to to add the more obscure or our-there birds to the list.

So range far and wide, hither and thither, to cost me an extra sawbuck for that bird you add to our list.

Drive up to San Antonio Valley and add Bell's Sparrow and Greater Roadrunner? Bang! Twenty extra bucks come out of my pocket and into the SCVBA Education programs! Go up the PA Baylands boardwalk and see that Ruddy Turnstone fly briefly into SCC? Another sawbuck into the till.

I encourage participants to boldly pledge an amount per bird found by the team... 50 cents a bird should get you to the recommended minimum, but if you prefer the certainty of the standard donation, that's ok too!
